Broken cycle computer. I'm free!

My wireless computer stopped working so i went on my ride blind, so to speak.

Result...i was a cycling god. i don't think i'll bother with the computer. Free yourselves from the tyranny of average speed, trip distance etc.

Got my first modern, awesome road bike back in the middle of July. Have not yet put a computer on it. Have not yet missed having a computer.

Ditto. Was riding with one last year. It bit the bullet this spring and I haven't missed it. Riding without it and leaving the Zune at home has been one of the best things I ever did. I find I spend more time looking around and scenery, and appreciating where I am. And I have come to love and look forward to that bit of tail wind that lets me hear the wheels spinning on the pavement. Very Zen.

But.... But.... the ride doesn't count if it's not recorded!?!

I look forward to this for the all of 5% of any given ride route I can take around here. Always a pretty strong head/crosswind in my area :( I do get to have some great descents though even with the wind trying to push me back up the hills

No thanks ill ride with the comp. because it pushes me that extra bit harder. When i see my cadence drop down from 100 i pound and pound the pedals. And same goes for when i drop from a 35 km/h pace.

You know, just not looking at the computer works, too. I miss my computer, I'd better get that replacement sensor.

I put my computer in my back pocket sometimes (wireless Ptap) so I don't pay attention to it. I still want the data from the ride, because otherwise what's the point of having a Ptap if not using it to train and track efforts.

It's nice just riding your bike.
