Recovering from surgery, need advice on Spinervals

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Recovering from surgery, need advice on Spinervals

I am recovering from a hiatel hernia surgery that has greatly diminished my lung capacity and fitness and am looking for a training method to get back in shape. So, I have parked my bike and new trainer in front of my TV and am planning on using Spinervals or some other DVDs to improve my fitness.

I believe that I need a couple of DVDs for different purposes. First, I need to start out slow doing an easy ride just to get some time in the saddle. I mainly need a DVD just to break up the boredom.

Then, I need something to increase my lung capacity and am not sure if interval or climbing training would be more effective. I have been working with a pulmonary specialist because my lung capacity has decreased since the surgery.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Look at the difficulty ratings. I like the second one, Sweating Buckets. The first one stinks. Look at the Aero Base Builders. I want to get this one because it combines the best from a few previous dvds...

But start easy, just ride gently a couple times to get your body used to it again.

Thanks, the Aero Base Builder V compilation looks like exactly what I need. The sweating buckets DVD looks like it will work for me too.
