Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bike reincarnated

In early August, my Cannondale r800 sustained a pretty serious injury to its downtube -- and the frame was pronounced dead at the scene. The "organs", so to speak, of the bike were still intact. After trying to force myself to run for a month to keep in shape, it became pretty clear that a. I am no runner and b. I missed cycling. So I made a few deals with the devil, scraped together some loose change, and broke open my piggy bank and ordered a new frame. The organs were successfully transplanted, and the result is my frankenbike that is 50% Cannondale r800/50% BMC Team Machine. Here are some photos -

I'm stoked.

What brand are those green tyres? I have a black and white bike but I love green. I want to add a touch of green to my bike.
