Eurus wheelset
Hello,
I have a good offer for a bike with Eurus wheelset.
Right now I'm riding on a basic Xero wheels, with about 2 Kg weight (on my first road bike), and looking to move to something better.
I am 183cm - 6 ft, 85Kg - 187lb (used to be much more).
I'm riding about 300Km-200miles a week.
Are the Eurus strong enough for me? Or should I go for heavier but stronger wheelset?
The roads I'm riding on are mostly good, but there are some bumps and bores here and there.
Thanks,
Mark

Eurus wheels would probably carry an elephant, if you could teach him to pedal. They are not the lightest (depending on year about 1.5kg) nor the most aero, but they are way better than the Xero wheels.
I actually had lightning hit the bike shed a couple of weeks ago and pass through a Eurus wheel. It burned one spoke through...I can't find any other damage.
Replacement spokes are breathtaking, BTW.

Here is a recent post re Eurus that should answer your questions. Are these wheels new? If not, how much wear is on them?

Thanks for the link, it has got the answers to my questions.
The wheels are new, haven't been in use. With aluminium spokes.

well, lightning struck somewhere in the back yard. The power was killed. The noise was deafening. I found the wheel damage a couple of days after the fact, but the spoke was pretty clearly severed by an arc, and little pieces of the slag were spattered over the nearest three spokes east of the blown one. As far as I know, nothing else was damaged, including the tire.
