Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I picked this up about a week ago. Bike was dirty as hell and setup terribly (nose of seat cocked up, stem flipped up). It had about 5K miles on it with recently installed cables, tires, and chain. I added the cages, current computer, Speedplay pedals, seat bag, and the black bar wrap over the old wrap for extra cushion. I also took it to an LBS and had it properly fitted.

Whatcha think?

Sometimes I miss mine but the rear was a little too flexi for me...very nice bike though. I sort of wonder what the new higher end models are like at times and wish there was a size between the 54 and 56.

Here was mine...long since gone.

Yeah, it's dark blue. I had that exact same bike a few months ago. Loved it. Rode like a dream. Wanted something a little more versatile. Wish I wouldn't have sold it now.

Every shot I've seen of this bike has had the gerolsteiner sticker on it. Not sure why it's not on my bike. I figured it would have been cleared underneath the finish.

No, those stickers aren't. Lots of people removed them when they withdrew their sponsorship.

Wish I had something as nice as this... Although the shifter cables look droopy
