Check out the job I'm applying for..........oh yes

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hopefully you're really charismatic.

I have a friend who does something similar. He pays to rent the Rickshaw, and then whatever he makes he keeps.

Its all about entertaining, so he says.

Wow, she died?

They would probably fire me if I was responsible for something like that. Anyways, this seems cooler than any other job I can find right now, so I'm excited. NOBODY is hiring for ANYTHING in Orlando right now.

Plus the pedicabs are registered, so they can't charge a fare. Have to work for tips only. So harassing people about stiffing you on the tip has to be a strong point of yours.

true, she wasn't a drunk college kid but that's where most of the injuries on those things come from.

College kids can't afford it. Middle aged drunk women on the other hand can. I drove one of those in Charleston when I was in school. Ended up screwing up my right knee. But you get your ass grabbed a lot by the women.

I wrote about my (brief) experience pedicabbing here.

For the right personality in the right circumstances I'm sure it could be fun but it wasn't really for me.

Here's a link to another San Diego story that mentions the death: https://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2009/sep/09/cover/

I've ridden them twice. Both times the drivers were polite and we had good experiences.

I wonder what your Max Speed could be on those bad boys with a person in the cart.

I am guessing you can get 20 mph on that bad boy, then get sued. lol

That is a nice job, I was thinking about being a paperboy but I hate waking up in the morning and they don't over those jobs here at all. Paperboying would be cool thou, think about training with some load.

"Knowing how to ride a bike" is not listed as one of the requirements so you should be OK.
Just kidding and good luck!

Driving one of those things is probably like pedaling a truck, and in I-Drive traffic, I'll bet it can be unpleasant. I note the job requirements do not include any cycling abilities. Let us know if you get the job.

Looks like a waste of time, No offense. I used to live in orlando I went to the Orlando Culinary academy. I never see anyone riding those things. Because they have them downtown for all the drunks on friday nights. Plus I believe you have to provide your own bike (usually a MTB). Do you really want to transfer stupid tourists around I Drive. Go get a job at disney their always hiring for something and they pay ok. Or go over and apply at the bally total fitness on Kirkman I used to work their, best job I have ever had (I like my job now but it was nothing compared to working at gym, so many hotties.)

Im guessing you go to valencia.
