Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

CAAD Roll Call

Out of sheer curiosity- how many TOTAL Cannondale CAAD 2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9 owners are there here on BF(no pix! - name and year/model/color/size only)?

I'll start(please add to list - reply w/ quote and edit):

1) Dilberto - 2009 CAAD 9/7 Patriot Blue 50cm

I think there are more threads about CAADs than carbon clinchers, waving, and 'help me pick my first bike' combined.

Oh, it looks like I just bought a R600. Not sure which CAAD designation this is, I think its a CAAD 5, but add that onto the list.

I'm unsure of the year, so if anyone can find out for me I'd be grateful. (Yes I tried google web/image searching) Also, there WERE downtube shifters on the bike. Seller upgraded to Shimano STI recently. Full Shimano 105 group.

You have a 2.8.... it's pre CAAD, I have the same frame ('93 R300)

I understand that the bike came out before the CAAD designation was created, but don't they assign CAAD designations to older models as well?

Not that I ever heard, but I could very well be wrong.
