Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cold front coming through so the weather's crap. BUT it's supposed to be beautiful this weekend which is all that matters.

Light rain; 40F; wind chill 37F; 6 mph N wind--miserable conditions to ride a bicycle in to work. At least it wasn't pouring hard.

Rain, 10 mph wind off the lake, 41f.

Only 198 miles so far this month, I normally have 300 by the middle of the month.

Once I roll out of bed it isn't so bad. Yesterday I didn't bother to wear gloves on my commute to work though. I could barely feel my hands by the time I got home in the rain.

It was 36 degrees here this morning overcast, misty with wind. After 12 miles I just had enough.

the big dirty' (east coast) is getting hammered with precipitation, yesterday it rained and today and forecast predicts some snow soon, woot! I love snow, except plowing it off my sidewalk and driveway.

Rained all week. Now it's sunny but a lot cooler.
C'mon! Global warming. Let's heat this place up a bit so I don't have to pull out the cool weather gear just yet.
