I ride Shimano PD-R540 pedals, cheaper alternative to Ultegra, same basic design. I find them to be great pedals. Bonus, they're black:

I've been riding Sprints for three years and like them just fine. If I had to replace them I'd get another set or maybe some Ultegras.
Six of one.... half dozen of the other.
105's are fine, too.
Just find a good deal on any of them and don't look back.

I just made the same decision and went with Keo Sprints. (But looks like both are nice though.)
1) Looked like the Keo Sprints were lighter.
2) More choices on cleats (Fixed, 4 degree float, 9 degree float) (I think SPD-SL's have Fixed and 6 degree cleats.)
Again, both are nice...splitting hairs.

what size are your feet? I switched from Look to Shimano because I have rather wide feet. The Shimano pedals are wider and provide a better platform for me.

Size 42. Wide. Im ordering a pair of Northwave Aerlite SBS. I've asked LBS, and all they've said is speedplay. Its not my cup of tea, thats why I came to the board. So sounds like the Shimanos are a plus if I have wide feet.

I have ridden both, and never really noticed a difference. I have been riding Look Keos and Time pedals the last 10 years.
