Cytomax for Everyday Hydration?
I love to use cytomax before/during/after rides, but my question is: Does anyone use cytomax for everyday hydration in supplement to or instead of drinking water?
I am a college student and I carry a 24 ounce water bottle everywhere. Over the course of the 5 hours I am at school, I drink the whole thing, sometimes more. I am wondering if adding a bit of my cytomax powder to my water bottle every morning might keep me better hydrated/give me more energy etc. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know! Perhaps another type of electrolyte mixture? Thanks in advance! |
I suggest you just drink water.
If you like the taste of cytomax, you could drink it but I think it is barely palatable. I use water for rides of 2 hours or less, cytomax for more than 2 hours. |
I'm not a nutritionist, but I don't think cytomax is necessarily the type of supplement you'd want to incorporate in to your everyday routine. It's mostly carbs, which are great for producing quick(er) energy, it's not as good as an all day sustainment.
Also, consider your caloric intake, if you aren't needing the calories you are going to put it on as weight gain. Have a good well-rounded breakfast and drink water. That will be the best mentally, and physically. |

I would avoid sports drinks (and foods) except during longer rides. The rest of the time you should eat real food. It's healthier. |
Joe: I'm pretty sure what's killing the crops is this Brawndo stuff. Secretary of State: But Brawndo's got what plants crave. It's got electrolytes. |
I ****ing hate cytomax.

... You mean like in the toilet? |
:roflmao2: x 2 for Brawndo.
OP, if you're not getting proper nutrition through food, you need to eat better. |
Are you eating anything during those 5 hours you're at school. That's too long to go without putting something in your system anyway. Only one bottle in all that time seems like a small amount, too. I'm drinking probably three per day, but I'm a teacher and I end up talking a lot so i feel dried out more often. Either way, you don't need to put cytomax in your bottle for just going to class.

Just drink water for hydration.
Cytomax is pretty much unnecessary calories if you're not engaged in some kind of hard activity. |
