Race Across the Sky movie

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

great trailer. just curious: does the "exclusive 1-day" tag apply only because there will be a panel discussion afterwards, or is this literally a one-night showing and then it's gone until DVD release?

thanks

Correct, you wont see it again in movie theaters. I believe the movie theater's XXXXL large screen will make it extra special.

No TV will give you the same experience.

I'm bummed I can't make it either. My fiance and I were at the movies over the weekend and they showed the short fathom events trailer for it. I mentioned how bummed I was that I had to miss it and got the usual "don't you spend enough time riding/wrenching/reading bike mags/reading BF/thinking about bikes?" look.

one of the things that cool about movies like this is how it cuts down the cross section of the population that will attend.

i can almost gaurantee that the theatre will have next to zero overweight, lazy, out-of-shape jamokes - which is anti-typical

Watching this preview just made me want a mountain bike.

Now why the hell are there 12 different kinds of mountain bikes?

BTW
I just called AMC Mission Valley theater in San Diego to see how many tickets they have left ...

I wasnt expecting much of a demand but to my surprise they already sold 60% of all tickets.

Anyway, for those that are planning to get those tickets at the box office tomorrow....

Me and a few buddies will be going tomorrow.

I've done the Shenandoah 100 which IIRC is on the same series as Leadville (NUE) and it was a pretty sweet experience. It is cool to be lining up right next to pros. First 10 miles its kinda high traffic, but past that, you end up riding with the same people for the rest of the day.

We are riding to the movie, about 75 miles. The group has gotten smaller as the day has gotten closer, three now. The weather at the moment is 48* and misting but we will have a tail wind. Leaving here about 1:00, that should get us there with plenty of time to change and eat. The LBS van is going to meet us and bring us home after. Should be a great time.
