Looks as though he didn't butcher it so it can be turned back into a road bike.

Looks fine to me- the dropouts are short, but they're close enough to track ends that is proably track legal (a lot of tracks don't allow 'conversions' with vertical or classic horizontal dropouts). The Velocity rims are the only part that seem out of place- they're a little on the heavy side, but I guess the front MSW says he intended them for street use.

Taylor Phinney rode a Felt DA stripped down like that for the win while the TK1 was still in development. I'd hotlink the picture but it was taken down I guess, probably due to hotlinking.

After a quick look-see...Cervelo has horizontal dropouts on all its TT bikes so you can move your tire closer to the seat tube. The P3 track frame has the horizontal dropouts too, but no derailleur hanger.

My question would be about rear spacing. Aren't DA track hubs spaced 120 and the bike's rear spacing 130? Did he wrench down on his axle nuts to bring the seat/chain stays in or are there spacers?

I hope he put more spacers on the hub b/c clamping down a non-steel frame like that could be disasterous. On steel frames, though, I have cold-set the drop outs.
Also, I think the P3 track has the same geometry as that bike, so it's really not that big of a deal. I bet most tracks would let you ride it. Not that he's probably riding on the track considering his pedals and wheels...
Even if that bike NEVER sees the track and just cruises around the town, it's fine. There is nothing wrong w/ that. ppl need to quit hating.
