Neuvation Carbon SRAM

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Neuvation Carbon SRAM

As one of my friends said: "your research for the perfect ride is becoming your white whale". Well I caught whatever whale it was and went with the Neuvation Carbon SRAM.

In this area, the ability to ride various carbon bikes is very limited (Trek, Specialized and sometimes Cannondale) thus I had to do alot of internet research and alot of communication via email and phone.

John from Neuvation was always prompt and answered all my concerns immediately. His website, while not flashy certainly assisted in the process as well, but the it was my friends here locally that have been riding for over a decade who really helped me - especially when three of them said unequivically that had they known about Neuvation they would have not hesitated - hope they are right. I shall certainly keep a log as I go along.

I have been looking at this same bike. I have a set of his wheels and like them vey much. If the bike is as good as the wheels, it should be a sweet ride. Keep us posted.

Bike arrived via UPS today. I unboxed and put her together when I got home (pic's tomorrow). It was very easy to put together and came with extra spokes and care and maintenance instructions. I am going to give it a good once over again in the morning then take her on a maiden voyage.

1. Bike in front of yellow garage door. If yellow cannot be found, off-white is acceptable.
2. Stem flipped up for comfort.
3. Keep "dork disc" for aesthetic appeal.
4. Chain on small ring up front, big ring on cassette (to prevent cross-chaining, you see).
5. Presta valves must be showing (for verification that you have a tube).
6. Cranks must be at the 2'o clock and 8'o clock positions, since that's how you start off when you ride.
7. Have a hand holding the bike for verification that you actually own the bike.
8. Saddle tilted forward 20 degrees for aggressiveness.

Thank me later.

Looks very, very appealing. I just got a CAAD9 with Rival group and Spinergy wheels but it cost $1400. The Neuvation carbon looks amazing for the price. Might have to convince my sister to buy one.

Considering a Force group on PBK will set you back nearly $1300 right now those are great deals, even if you didn't use the frame.

Sorry for the delay - been too busy riding

This bike is all it is advertised to be and then some. Longest ride yet is 35 miles, but that was because I was under a time constraint. This thing eats up the road and wants more. The LBS owner was as impressed if not more than I was at the quality and especially the price. I have put down about 200 miles thus far and have no complaints - actually pretty cool to be riding a bike that others have to ask about.

Thanks to John for all of the assistance and phone calls to answer my queries.

I failed at photo etiquite (as well as spelling it) but here it goes
