Via Nirone or 1885??
Hi all, just looking for some opinions... I'm looking at buying a bianchi (cos i like them ) and i've narrowed it down to a Via Nirone Alu Hydro (C2C) or a 1885 Alu (B4P) (both 2009 models). Both are aluminium (with alu/carbon fork). The nirone is slightly heavier (200g ish) and has a mix of veloce and mirage campy gear, whereas the 1885 is all veloce. The 1885 also has campy khamsin wheel set over the nirone's Ambrosio WS 23 rims with michelin hubs. I think the 1885's meant to have geometry designed a little more for racing, and the nirone for cruising/comfort, but i don't know if ill tell the difference. Do you think the 1885 is worth the extra $'s (can get it for about $600 or $AU700 more than the nirone... so ill be blowing the budget a little)?
oh also, this is my first roadie (been riding mountain so far), and i've been told I should be looking at a 53cm frame size (i'm approx 168cm tall, 77 from ground to crotch) so i took a mate's bike out (similar to the 1885, and size 53) for half an hour. felt pretty good, very responsive (but that's a bianchi thing i hear) but a little cumbersome. Is that something ill get used to? like i kinda expected it to feel a little weird (i have been riding/racing a v small mtb for the last 2 years). What do u guys think?

would totally go for the 1885.
that thing is built to move... i love mine so i might be a little biased
i love mine and the thing that i tend to see with bikes buy a bike in the range that is in your budget and youll be satisfied much longer then if you bought a cheap bike and "settle"

im a fairly young buck, and my bike is setup with a fairly aggressive geometry, during my first century it felt comfortable. i wouldnt say its like riding on clouds but its nice
then again i got a tailored fit for my bike so that might add to the comfort level.
