Who wears a livestrong wristband??

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I ride as much a I can. I'm a cancer survivor, still in treatment. I admire LA. I don't wear the band.

I mean, how cliche would that be?

Never did until 8 weeks ago when just after I registered for the Austin Livestrong ride, my best friend was dx. with esophageal CA. I'll take mine off after he is cancer free for a year.

I wear one. No one in my family has cancer but I donate my time and money as best I can to insure that if they do their is something that can be done about it.

I lost a friend and a grandfather to cancer, and seeing the band gives me extra motivation to ride for them.

I wear one. I'm a cancer survivor, it serves as a reminder that some aren't as lucky and that my luck might change. Be supportive of a good cause.

I had one when they first, first came out. I wore it until it became trendy to have one, then I took it off.

No, I don't. I do two cancer charity rides every year and raise pretty significant research and treatment funds. It is a time consuming effort I do willingly and happily and certainly dont need to wear a reminder.

I am however, very proud of anyone who does.

Started wearing one before I started cycling. I've been wearing a livestrong band now since summer 04.
I started cycling in 05. I have several cancer survivors in my family and a few who have lost the fight. Well worth a buck once a year or so, and I wear it with pride. I don't have any intention of not wearing one any time soon.
