Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's nice to see Holdsworths on the forum. I have a 80's Criterium which I need to take out more. Not as classy as SCEDs.

Thanks, and your first statement was also true. The 5 times I've raced, has shown me that it's definitely not about the bike!!

Sua Ku, maybe you can post pictures of your Holdsworth here. It would be a great addition.

Aight. I critique one of my own bikes as a base.

Bike: Centurion IronMan Master by Dave Scott. WTF? Ok: 8.0 definitely different.
Bike build: Thomson seatpost Dura Ace 10 speed DOWN TUBE SHIFTERS?
Ziipps? 9.5 - easy.
Presentation: 7.5 - no special effort. just placed in front of a garage door. Properly exposed and positioned. No distractions.

Bf score - 8.3.

That "grading system is still worthless. What you consider great or good components like stems, seats, bars, pedals, tires, etc are too subjective to score. Besides, photographics skills/presentation can be too easily manipulated giving a bike a high undeserved score. Just leave it as is......

Subjective is the point. And presentation is completely relevant. Who wants a 5 star meal served on a trash can lid?

Sorry but you get 2.5 on presentation You are a professional photographer with the best equipment. You presentation should be at least in the 55/Rad range. So you fail.

Lol. Having access to a studio like 55/Rad does would help, but duly noted.
