Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cateye Mity 8 Computer

As seen here: https://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...2_10000_201508

Does anyone have this, and if so, does it include the mounting bracket, sensor, and magnet? The description isnt very helpful and I dont want to get shafted.

Thanks

Get it...simple and it works. If it is brand new, then yeah, everything that you need to mount it and get it going right out of the box is included...even the nylon zip ties

The Mity 8 seems to work well enough for this guy:

I have 2. It comes with everything. It's a nice computer. The bracket is brittle below freezing, but other than that I've had no troubles.

Treat that clip gently. I broke mine without much effort. Took to using a sliver of tube as an interference fit.

Forgot one day, poof, no more unit (danged chipseal, I curse thee).

Did a earnest recon, but alas, no joy.

I've been cyclometer-free since. This has been suprisingly painless.

I used a Mity 8 for a couple of years, worked very well. I only stopped using it due to a desire to go wireless.

I wonder if probe1957 rides near dprayvd's area?

I've used a Mity 8 for many years, and it's great. It's simple, straight forward, and without a lot of extra junk. As someone else mentioned, I also broke the mounting unit's clip on a sub-freezing day. Now I wait until the bike is in the house and warmed up a bit before removing the computer. However I like it overall.

It should be on sale at performance. Easy install - took me 30 min - my first install of computer ever. Flawless!
