Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Are all Polar HRMs created equal?

I'm not asking about the features, I'm asking about the accuracy of the devices themselves to measure heartbeats. Has anyone used Polars from both ends of the spectrum and found the heartbeat measurement to be consistent between units?

All polars are equal- I've used them, but I do find that digital heart rate monitors give you a more instant read than the analog (ig polar) heart rate monitor.

Yes, from the bottom to the top of the line, they are all ECG accurate.

I owned/used 3 Polar heart rate monitors. The cheapest to the most high end model are consistent
as far as measuring heartbeats.

G'day,

I have 2 polar HRMs. 1 is a cheapy & the other is the S720. I use both regularly & haven't noticed any inconsistancies between the readouts they produce,

cheers,

Hitchy
