What deals does your LBS(s) give you?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I get 10% off since I bought my bike there. I only buy little things or things I have to try on though. I'll only pay so much more.

Employee discount on most stuff.

Got a pair of bibs for free when a few of us decided to start a racing team for next year (a few of us got free or very heavily discounted bibs).

I get a discount on bikes, and don't get charged extra for tax.

For two of my bikes they put me on a payment plan, but I still got to take the bike home after the initial downpayment.

I've never had to pay for service of any kind. I can also come in and have free reign with the tools and work on my bike myself if I'd like.

Yep. That makes them pretty good on a lot of stuff. It's tough on things like Zipp wheels however. But I have purchased my last two main road bicycles from them. I've been a loyal customer for over 16 years. Hell, I love going there and busting their bike shop balls, particularly the owner Steve, that's the best part.

10% because I'm part of an organized club. Plus I get breaks, freebies and the occasional discarded bike

because I hang around there altogether too much.

20% off anything / everything as part of the team discount.

I have also gotten free bibs and a jersey after a crash at the end of this season.

Oh yeah... we get priority service and maintenance. No dropping off the bike and picking it up four days later. And I haven't paid a dime for adjustments, cables, etc.

I haven't bought any big ticket items there yet. Heck I haven't even bought a bike from them yet. I'm just friends with the owner and a couple of the mechanics/sales people. Oh and
there are periods when I'm in there weekly buying, saddles and other bits off them.

I also am happy to drop a bike of for servicing/major repairs and wait a week, or even two if they are really busy, before picking it up. It's not like I don't have other bikes I can ride

Nada. Maybe if I paid their list prices for a few months they might start offerring me some discount. This is why I buy most everything online.

It took a few weeks to get my Speedtrap sensor from Trek, so the owner gave me the sensor + had the shop install it for free. The shop owner has given me lots of free advice, and small unasked for discounts at various times. I buy as much as I can locally to support my local LBS.

I ask for advice. They give it. I give them money. They give me merchandise. No real deals, and I don't expect any. I just shop online when I know what I want, and where I can get virtually anything I want. They get their money from customer service.

Bought a pair of bike shoes off a guy @ CL - He told me to bring myself to the local Tri-dominated shop and name drop him for 15% off.... haven't tested it out though.

Our favorite LBS gives us ~15% off. We don't know quite why. We never asked for it. We aren't big spenders there, although I bought a bike there a year ago that they had heavily discounted to move off the floor. They wanted to give us the water bottle cages for that bike, but my SO tried to pay for them because he knew they weren't making much profit off the bike.

I have also occasionally sent folks there to look at the bikes and maybe buy one.

My SO wanted to buy a PI vest from the clearance rack and they just gave it to him: Happy Birthday!

Sometimes we bring them a six pack of Fat Tire Ale.
