Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

why do so many manufacturers use tektro brakes? Those things are junk! With the quick release lever in the full open position, it's not wide enough to easily remove a 25mm tire.

I just squeeze my 23mm GP4000s through the Tektro R580s I have...so the Shimano calipers open wider? That'd be enough reason for me to switch.

the shimano 105 brakes open 7mm more than the tektro brakes do.

You're probably right Umney I was going to list an unused set on ebay until I noticed others selling them for $5 - $10
