Anatomical bars....?

What are some good affordable anatomic handlebars?
Ive seen some $30 ones but am always too skeptical to buy.

Thanks

what do you think will be wrong with the $30 ones? Cool kids these days don't run ergo bends, fyi. It's all about the shallow reach, classic bend or something

Skeptical cause most I see are over $100.

Are these any good?

Those are nice bars. Not even "bottom of the line". Look at the Ritchey comp line as well for a good value. It's not a secret, but the weight diff between highend carbon bars and low end aluminum is nearly negligible.

I have these:

after having FSA bars. Once you've got tape on it....if you like the bend and width it's all the same to me.

Those dimension bars look sweet. I have anatomical bars on my current road bike. I'm not a big fan. I like to have my hands facing down rather than forward when I'm in the drops, and I can't get a good combination of that and comfortable hood angle with them.

Good luck finding them...out of stock everywhere. I called QBP here in MN, they don't have an ETA either.

They look to be a clone of the FSA Pro Wing Compact, with slightly less reach. Those were also out of stock most places I looked. Ended up buying them from an ebay store though, with no problems.

I've got a few sets of the cheapo Sette bars from pricepoint. Fit my hands nicely and work just fine for the few $ they cost me.

OP, I have the Aero Wing version of these bars. I'm not sure how heavy you are, but I find them to be intolerably flexy, especially when out of the saddle (I'm heavier, i guess... about 172 fwiw). Unless some engineer on the forum can assure you that the round top version is significantly stronger than the winged version which i have, i would avoid them like the plague.

just my .002

BTW, I asked for a set of Deda Zero100 bars for christmas. You can check out those if you want, though you may find them online in one of two conditions 1. moderately expensive (60 - 90) but out of stock, or 2. ridiculously expensive (130+).

For $30 look used and ebay.

I've used cheap anatomical bend bars from Easton and Ritchey, and they both were good quality for the price. Neither fit my hands very well, unfortunately. Changed to Reynolds bars with a round bend, and am quite pleased.

Seriously, though, as long as the bars don't break, and aren't made of lead, and fit your hands, you can't go wrong.

Rad. Thanks for all the input!
