Are some bicycle brands better "babe magnets" ?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Are some bicycle brands better "babe magnets" ?

I was at a bike show in a local nightclub/pub, and they had the expensive models of Pinarello, Fuji, and Kestrel. It seemed like all the hot girls, which I'm sure were not cycling girls and were just there to drink and hang out with their girlfriends, were all over the Pinarellos. It seems like the Pinarellos were the "prettier" bikes to them.

So, any experience with this ?

You might have to give up the spandex kit, however...

Exactly how is it that you knew that "all the hot girls" were not cyclists? Seriously, how did you ascertain that? Gawd, what a sexist thread. No wonder there are so few women on this forum.

An ugly fixie is just the ticket. I don't think a Cannondale works.

Pinarellos have curves. Girls (most) like curves.

I've gotten more looks while riding the full Celeste Bianchi XL EV3 than while on the CAAD 6, XL EV4 or any of the bikes I've owned or test ridden.

Slutted up Italian pieces are the way to go.

Do non cycling women really look at any guy on a bike riding down the street? Maybe at a race or something like that they would take notice but normally women (and
men) think we look like freaks what with shaved legs and spandex in loud colors.
Anyway, if they are looking, they are looking at me and my Colnago.

Well, you can tell the cyclist ones because of their athletic body. There were some of those there too, and they were not as dressed up (or dressed down, depending on how you look at it) as the girlfriend hanging girls.

Most cyclist girls I know (and who says they aren't hot?!?) are suckers for stiffness and vertical compliance

You think so? Because American Apparel doesn't seem like the usual stomping grounds for that girl.

Let me guess: the Pinarello was steel, and the others were carbon fiber or aluminum?

Let's see a picture of the Pinarello being discussed, and we'll tell you if it's a babe magnet or not.

Bicycles can be babe magnets? In which alternate universe do you live?

I think babes are more attracted to mountain and bmx cyclists. They have some kind of "mystique."
