I just got back on my bike after breaking my shoulder, collarbone and two ribs. It hurt but it was a minor inconvenience compared to your ordeal. Welcome back.
|
Your story is a great example of courage & determination. Some will brag about suffering on the bike a couple of hours, you suffered months of pain & rehab. So who is stronger? Ignore the idiots & stay focused/positive...Great news that you are getting stronger & riding your bike. Best wishes...

bigtea, thanks for the update, and I'm glad to hear that you're doing well. Best wishes for lots of miles in the new year!

I just reread the original thread and was shocked, shocked to see that I was the first one to respond to your post, and the first to mention the lawsuit possibilty. Your original post certainly seemed slanted in that direction. Very glad to see you're back on the bike, keep at it.

The conclusion in the other thread that the OP was considering a lawsuit is not an unreasonable one. Glad to hear you're healing up.

Sorry I didn't see the original post. As with any motorcycle accidents we/I always try to see what we can do to prevent such accidents. Sometimes nothing can be done. Was there something that we can take away from the accident?
Hoping there is something I can learn. Glad you are doing better and back on the bike. Man that was hard hearing of those injuries. Wow! |
I missed that thread last year, i spent that week in the two different hospitals,
I am glad to read you are on back on your bike and doing better. hopefully everything heals perfectly |
OP,
Good for you. You should treat yourself to a ride. PS-I'm not being sarcastic. |
Glad you're healing and back on the bike.
Glad I missed the first thread (and I'm not following the link, either) |
I too agree that the original post sounding like you were fishing for info to see see where you crashed was a common place to wreck.
I will also say that if you post that you had a wreck, you will receive absolutely no sympathy from BF. I don't agree with it, but you will find people will come out of the wood work to explain that the wreck was completely your fault. By the way, I am glad that you are recovered (mostly). Keep riding and put that nasty wreck as far behind you as possible. |

3) Finally, for those who told me to HTFU. I tried that, but it was really difficult given that I couldn't even go to the bathroom for a month without assistance. It's really hard to HTFU when you have to piss in a jar, have someone wipe your ass, and when you are tethered to a drip IV of vancomycin. . |
