Question about sizing..

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Get all the virtual figures and head tube height, and/or test ride.

The LOOk website isn't cooperating this morning, but the size M 586 has 54cm TT, 74 degree STA and 149mm head tube. The 586 uses the headfit headset that has about a 20mm minimum headset top section, so the total length becomes 169mm.

The super six has a 54.5cm TT, 73.5 degree STA and shorter 140mm head tube. The reach is nearly identical since the slighlty more slack STA reduces the reach by about .5cm. Both bikes should require the same stem length to produce about the same fit. The C'dale will require 10-15mm more spacer under the stem, depending on the exact headset top section that comes with the frame. It seems as though none of the brands thinks to include this information.

The standover height of the LOOK is 76.9cm compared to the C'dale's 78.5cm. That can be an issue if you have short legs or you're considering a frame that's a bit large.

Thank you for the reply guys. . I went to the website, but I couldn't figure out if the 54 will fit me. I am good with a M size Look 586 and is thinking of getting a 54 M size cannondale for a very good deal.

DaveSSS that helped me a lot!!!
