i said roughly. there is a big difference in the serial numbers on a 1990 or a 2004. either way the serial number doesn't make too much sense. Not saying you are lying it is just seems to be a different way they numbered it than normal. It usually goes model/size/month/year/production number. The model is the CH, not all had the size in the number, the 00 is throwing a loop. Normally it goes month then year. There is no month 00. Even if that was year and the next digits were month, there is no month 14.
if it was CH0602401 it would be a CH model (whatever that corresponds to) made in June of 02. And it would have been the 401 made that month.
anyway good luck.

If you think it's likely it has original components on it, you can find date codes stamped on the components, go to www.vintage-trek.com and then click on "component dates" for info that might be helpful.

also just throwing this out there. By that number, CH0014703, I would guess it could only be a 00, 01, or 03. Most likely not a 01 by the way the numbers fall. So probably a 00 or 03.

thanks guy's, I am attempting to buy from someone and that is the # he gave, I told him that it does not seem to fit a Quantum normal serial #. I want it if it is pre 2002 so I need to find out for sure.
