Squeaking noise on new rollers
I've had my CycleOps with Resistance rollers for about 2 weeks (~50miles total on it). It was relatively quiet the first 3 uses, over the last 2 times I was on it, there's a high pitch squeaking sound that only occurs on the downstroke when I'm mashing the pedal.
I've checked all the screws, and everything is tight. The squeak is there consistently there on every downstroke, regardless of resistance level or gear that I'm in. It's driving me crazy!:twitchy: My only thought left is that my rear wheel is worn down to a 1cm wide flat surface, so I'm thinking maybe the increased surface area causes more rubbing?? Any ideas? |
its probably the tire skipping on the roller. Check your airpressure in your tires and clean off your tires and roller with alcohol. Probably a rubber build up on the rollers making it squeak

Pump your tires to the maximum on the tire or rim (whichever is lower). No need to use a new tire on the rollers, it would be a waste of money
