Need help picking a color

Hi,
looks like I will be getting a new bike. I can have any sort of paint job I want.
I am considering the classic burnt orange you used to see over 30 years ago. It's striking and very uncommon now.

But there are new paints, about which I know little, and new combinations of paints about which I know even less.

Got any ideas or pics of cool looking bikes?

Current with the chome fork. Imagine white tape, white saddle, and DT Swiss RR 1450 wheelset?

Lovely bike, but no. Schwinn used to have it. It's an orange, but a darker
shade then I've seen on most other bikes.

I saw a new Waterford that had that color a couple years ago, it was beautiful.
It also had chromed Henry James lugs.

I love that color.

I have to confess that, living in the shadow of UT, burnt orange is ruined for me. If you're thinking of going retro and looking for inspiration, check out Classic Rendezvous. I've always been partial to British iron myself.

If you're thinking retro, I'd go for a dark blue or green, with a cream head tube and matching seat-tube panel.

The Bob Jackson and Independent Fabrication websites have some pretty good color swatches.
