Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Planet X Finally Complete

Just finished my Planet X Build up...... I think it turned out nicely, unfortunately is gonna be relegated to roller duty until the weather breaks so no real riding impressions as of yet gonna change pedals from the crank bros but haven't decided to which. Have Arundel carbon cages on the way....

its a good looking bike. I like that frame. How does it ride?
If you have anywhere near the same amount of snow in Bulter as we have up here on the lake shore we'll have to wait for awhile to find out.

Not too much snow now at the moment, but too much icy-slick roads for a road test. Gonna be doin the roller thing for a few :O(

nice. what size is that frame?

what made you go with the parts mix you did, was it just based on steals and deals you found?

Thanks... yeh, the parts mix is totally budget driven, with a little bling factor on the carbon ergo's and record der, had the crankset and wheelset already from a previous build-up, the pedals will soon be replaced.... It is a "med" size frame according to Planet X....

actually it is a Shimano wheelset with a 6600 11-23 cassette (mixed with Campy - Tullio Campagnolo is spinning is his grave right about now lol)...

Good luck with your operation, hope all goes well and you are healthy and back riding in no time
