What bar Width are you Riding?
I always felt a bit wide on my handlebars. Well, after I looked up the brand, I realized my Forte Precision is a 50 cm bar. Seems a bit wider than I see being sold.
I'm 6' tall and medium build - Joe average. What would you think is a typical bar width for someone my size? What do you ride? Thanks!

50 cm? Are you sure?? Road bars?? I didnt think they made 50's, most folks your size would use 44 if you have an average frame. I use a 42 but I have a narrow frame in spite of being 6 feet tall.

Making a kilometer blurry
MTB bars are over 50cm, but not any Forte' Precision road bars.
6'4", 44cm bars
6'4", 44cm bars

I used to have a set of 50cm touring bars, they were Performance brand. Sounds like you got yourself some.
Way too wide if your not using a bag up front.

Edit:: I suppose bar width might be loosely correlated with height simply because a taller person will tend to have proportionately wider shoulders, but even there... there's a lot of variation.

I've never seen a bar wider than 46cm c-t-c myself, but i could be wrong.

6'0". Currently on a 40cm Ergosum, previously on a 40cm Ergonova that's pretty much 38cm at the hoods. Comfortable on either. I have very narrow shoulders for a 6' guy.
