I'll put in another vote for the Ultimate Ride it had a lot of really good information in it.

Put me down for the Ultimate ride. It covered a lot of topics and was easy to read.

The Cyclist's Training Bible, by Joe Friel. It gives great tips to the everyday person and sets up training schedules and gives a lot of explanation and insight into all aspects of cycling.
Also, try Ed Burke's books: "Serious Cycling" and "Hi Tech Cycling". They are a MUST for anyone who wants an analytical and completely technical education on optimal performance. Koffee |
