Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Reputable Brands Outside of the US

Hey guys,

Do and of you know of any reputable brands along the lines of a Cannondale, Trek or Specialized that make quality road bikes in the US$800 - US$1,800 price range which are not currently distributed in the U.S.?

Been looking around for a new bike and was curious about the overseas market., in particular the European market.

Thanks for any replies.

Oh, I get it... Ha ha ha..

And if you're not being sarcastic:

I'm looking for brands that are equivalent to those brands, but just maybe in the European market. Stuff that any American's don't regularly see that might be exclusive to Europe maybe?

Why?

They probably all come from the same factory in china/taiwan anyway, at that price point.

Again, why??
