What's the best looking pro jersey?

So, I've decided on getting a real jersey this year to solidify my fred status. Which one looks the best to you? I am liking the radioshack jersey at this point. I thought the sky jersey looked pretty cool, but the black color worries me for summer time riding- too hot. When do the 2010 pro jerseys usually start hitting the stores?

im assuming this is a joke, especially that little "i am liking the radioshack jersey at this point" part. but if not, and you really want a "real kit", get your lbs kit. or some capo forma stuff, blank assos, giordana, santini.

I like Sky the best. I'm sure they'll have a white version soon.

No, it's the opposite . . . a pro jersey will solidify your poseur status. If you were a fred you wouldn't care what you wore.

I don't know why people can't get this right.

Of this year's kits, I really like Sky.

I would never, ever, ever, ever in a million years do that. To me that is freddier than wearing a pro team kit. Plus I would feel completely cheated paying a ton of money to my lbs ($150 for my lbs kit) so I can advertise them. They should pay me to ride around flashing their name to everyone.

I think the BMC jersey is probably the best looking right now ...

Footon-Servetto-Fuji and Astana are competing for ugliest jerseys.

That said, I would never ride in a pro kit.

DXchulo 01-29-10 01:53 PM

I like BMC's kit this year and Euskaltel-Euskadi is always a favorite of mine.

I am starting to suspect that the people who discourage wearing pro jerseys are the people you see wearing them... They just want to stand out, so they don't want everyone to wear them.

I tend to prefer something nostalgic... USPS (I work for them) and 7-11 (memories of watching a couple Coors Classic stages)

I have a USPS jersey, but not 7-11.

Of current jerseys, I am pretty ambivalent, but would lean toward Radio Shack since it is not terrible looking, and I shop there.

If some pro team went with super bright colors ANSI orange or ANSI lime, I would rock them, since I like being visible on the road.

i would rock them to be obnoxious on a group ride

any team that disbanded in the last two years.

I don't discourage it of other people, nor do I look down upon people that rock the full team kit. If that's what makes you happy then go for it, it's just not for me.

a little bitter?
i'm guessing you are one of those "buy everything online" types.
never build a relationship with your shop.
never get hookups and discounts with them.
never do their group rides.
im assuming you would also expect a race club to pay you to dawn their threads.

the way my shop has treated me, i'd be proud to display the name. then again its easy when it's the greatest shop in the universe!

While I would definitely be happy to rep my local shop, I'd feel really weird about wearing the shop team's kit around town if I were not a member of that team.

As for myself, I've got a Garmin-Slipstream jersey that I wear because it looks damn good and I like the team.

That's the key. I think most people expect it to just happen magically.
