Someone check my math, please
If someone joined BF in September 2005, and had 36,522 posts, my estimate would suggest they would have been posting once every .02749 minutes.
As calculated: roughly 4.333 years
x 365 days
x 14 hours/day (allowing for 8 hours of sleep and 2 hours of riding)
x 60 min/hour
-----------------------
1,328,498 minutes
36,522 / 1,328,498= 1 post every .02749 minutes, or every 1.65 seconds.
And amazingly, this is not the leader in the clubhouse.
Discuss.

Considering the forum has a 30 second post rule, I didn't even have to check the match to know it was wrong.
Please, please don't calculate how often I post. I don't want to know.

You had the numerator and denominator backwards in your formula.

It's kind of pathetic actually.
For all of us.
I was a long member of RBR ( until I got chased away in a sordid tale worthy of Dickens .......), but at the time i left, I had 9,929 posts.
3.85 per day.
Doesn't sound like a lot but you think about how much time we spend sitting staring at screens, reading posts, not posting to them ......
Then there are vacations and other times you are away from the computer and can't post. The actual posts per day total starts to go up.
I used to look at the post count on RBR and think to myself " what I could have done with all the hours spent staring at this thing",
There is a guy over there with over 50,000 posts.
Think how many hours that is.
We're all pretty pathetic. ( some more than others though ........ )

Considering what alot of the posts on here are though you could easily knock out 1 a minute, especially seeing as alot of the time people don't seem to read the whole thread their posting in.
That's less than 1 hour a day, which I think for quite a few people is also the time when they should be doing work and are trying to pass the hours, although I may be wrong there.
<Edit> I only make about 1.1 posts a day... that either makes me very unconstructive or means I actually have a life. I'm leaning towards the first one tbh =) </Edit>

OTOH what the hell has the OP been doing?
Been here 5+ years with a whopping 269 posts . . . that's like 1 per week.
Wha'd'ya have a real life outside of here or something? That's just no BF commitment! MODS, BAN HIM!

If someone joined BF in September 2005, and had 36,522 posts, my estimate would suggest they would have been posting once every .02749 minutes.
As calculated: roughly 4.333 years
x 365 days
x 14 hours/day (allowing for 8 hours of sleep and 2 hours of riding)
x 60 min/hour
-----------------------
1,328,498 minutes
36,522 / 1,328,498 = 1 post every .02749 minutes, or every 1.65 seconds.
And amazingly, this is not the leader in the clubhouse.
Discuss.

it's not that he posted "1 post every .02749 minutes", he actually posted 0.02749 posts/minute, or 1.65 posts per hour
you're trying to find out how often he posts:
total minutes / total posts = # minutes per post
you could also go about it this way:
36,522 total posts / 4.333 years = 8,428.16 posts per year
8,428.16 posts per year / 365 days a year = 23.1 posts per day
23.1 posts per day / 14 hours per day = 1.65 posts per hour
hopefully that clears it up enough

42 is the answer to life, the universe, and everything. Even Google calculator agrees.
