Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have the same problem with the weather here, it is freezing outside, and windier than all heck. Still may ride in the pm though.
I had that for the first time ever last weekend. Daves. I found one on Route one here (it would be on route one). Good food, but the waitress was excessively talkative. And twice poured water in my sprite. I love when they ask you, you say no, and then they do it anyway.

Here is the new bike with the S4.0s. As well as the rest of the collection...Pcad are you afraid I am catching up?

BMC road bike

Fuji destined for clip-ons to begin my adventure in TTs (I already had the seat for a week or two

Mtb for fun and winter rides...I am thinking about trying to race XC again (I did it once as my first race, i was not very competative but it was fun)

Utility bike for commuting riding around to buy stuff, and tow path riding (i used it alot last summer to get to work but since I moved closer I rarely do anymore) it is also a size to big, but just barely

wife's mtb

wife's road bike (it is a trek 1.2 47cm with 700 wheels the stem is super tiny, my wife is 4'11 3/4" I don't get how other 5'4" people claim to need 42 cm bikes with 650c wheels)

Pcad, you should show your collection including the ladies bikes of your house.

Love me some Dave's, ain't the best but it is always consistent. Waitresses, thats why I sit at the bar. A good bar tender is usually smart enough to recognize when some one answers in mono syllables that I am not there for the conversation.

I really need to start asking where the rides are going when I do them. I went to the usual ride I do which is always 60 miles but I've missed the last few weeks. 50 miles in I notice we haven't gotten to the midpoint/rest stop. Turns out it's now an 87 mile ride and the rest stop wasn't until about mile 55. Some how I made it on with one water bottle and 2 pieces of toast for breakfast. Oh and how I wish it was 40 degrees here, it's 89 degrees here and feels like 94. wonderful.

i broke down and bought an Arione. It was mismarked $10 lower than retail and the LBS sent me a $20 off sale coupon so it still wasn't full price, but it is certainly the most I have ever paid for a saddle. I have 30 days to return if I hate it.

We got a break between storms, so I did a loop around Cazenovia lake -- no trainer Pokeman...

Strong winds out of the west, but it's a north/south route which meant I mostly had to keep from getting blown over sideways. It did rain and hail on me with about 5mi to go.

I'm heading off to a friends tonight via bike. I feel like I'm a randonneur or something. Rack, cargo shorts, t shirt, lights, bottle, all on a 20 year old steel bike with fenders.

Nice to be off of the carbon once in a while.

Oh and no clipless.

Arizona, specifically Phoenix, is hot. Like ridiculous hot and it's not even summer yet. How... or more importantly why would anyone who rides bike live here?
