Tommaso Imola vs. Gavin Nouvo

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I was in this exact position, and found one of the last Corsa FA road bikes from walmart. Allot of 105 components and carbon fork and a compact double for only
500 bucks

For your current situation, if I were you I would buy the wellington 3.0 from bikesdirect.com It is 400 bucks and has everything both of those bikes have, sti (sora) cassette, but IMO with the wellington you get a lighter bike, I think the wellington is 19 lbs. The only reason I chose the walmart bike is it has 105 stuff and especially the shifters which have paddles, and because I wanted a double crankset. The only thing comparable via trusty bikesdirect is the Aero TT which cost 200 bucks more and has tiagra shifters and tiagra parts.

Well I've heard more bad than good about bd.com, so that's why I chose to avoid that site all together.

Sometimes deals are too good to be true and are actually TRUE. There is nothing wrong with BD, their bikes come from the same factories with the same material from all other high end bikes. Sure they make money by giving you cheaper components, but their frames are a good of good quality and can be upgraded down the road with higher quality components. People on these boards just believe because they spend hundreds more on their bikes, they are allot better than cheaper bikes from bd.

btw of those two bikes i rather get the nouvo, I was about to buy the touno but then found the deal of a century with the walmart bike and decided to spend the two hundred bucks more. Plus the touno has a freewheel and cassettes are allot better, and touno has friction shifters, while the Corsa has STI shifters (one o five)
