Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Oh no!
What a tragedy was the life of Bongo.
That lengthy series of disappointments and now this.
I'm so sad that I cannot even muster the will to vote.

Buy what ever is good but cheap.

I have noticed road pro's have been wearing some odd lenghts ... then I read an article by Mark Cavendish describing a lead out ... he noted that he wore long tube socks so his mates could spot him in the pack easier!

Maybe that is why LA wears women's half stocking length black socks ... he wants protection ...

I'm not a ninety-niner, I'm just younger than you. I'm not even sure what an ankle sock is, I was just being contrarian

Covering your ankle is advised, as that is a prime contact point in crashes.

i'd think once you hit the deck, that little bit of cotton/lycra will evaporate.
i prefer low rise, not quite no show. i have big calves, and high socks make my ankles disappear, giving the dreaded cankles look.
