Performance Bibs - accurate sizing?

Hi Folks

Can anyone confirm if Performance Bib is sizing their bibs accurately?

What Performance Bibs do you wear and are they true to size?

Thanks
Mike

Depends on what you mean by "true to size". They have a sizing chart on their website, and I feel that's pretty accurate.

I have the Elite II bibs (good enough) and the Ultra II bibs (love). I found they fit exactly as I expected based on looking at the sizing charts.

But really, I can't overstate how much better the Ultras are for the $10-15 price difference.

I know what you mean, it's all relative. I'm hoping to get a general sense as to how the population feels about Performance's sizing.

eh. I bought some of their shorts one time. Sizing was horridly out of wack. They bid to the lowest OEM, so the sizing changes between euro cut and "American" cut, which are about one size different (M for American cut is like a L euro).

Terrible shorts. I wouldn't buy that crap. At least see if you can try stuff on at one of their stores. Or maybe their bibs are better than their shorts. Anyway... I wouldn't buy clothing online, sight unseen.

I have several pair of Elite bibs. I find them to fit exactly as I would expect.
Altough I apparently have a minority opinion, I find teh Elite bibs to be wonderful. I love the fabric. It has a second skin feel. Some of mine are several years old, and tey are holding up better than my high priced bibs from big name makers.

Performance bibs are sized well (and consistent, I have been wearing them for years and they always fit the same) and they are a fantastic product. Anything as good would cost a lot more. They also have a fantastic exchange policy. I popped a few stitches on a three year old pair of bibs and they exchanged them no questions asked.

I have the Elite bib in a size medium and I'm 5'9" and about 160 with a 32 inch waist and 31" inseam (not that inseam really matters for a bib) and I think the Performance sizing is pretty accurate.

I love the performance shorts with the red chamois, ultras? I got the X-larges and they were too big. I mentioned 2 years later that they were too big and the salesman immediately said "bring them back". I said I wasn't going to bring back my used smelly shorts and he insisted. So I did. Gave me two in Large and I'm happy. What a great shop. Best shorts I've tried so far.

I haven't tried the new Performance Ultra shorts, but the older ones ran half a size smaller than the Performance Elite shorts.
