Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2010 CAAD9-5 v. KHS Flite 900

So, like many other that have been drawn to this forum, I'm purchasing my first road bike. After a couple months of research and testing, I recently narrowed it down to the CAAD9-5.

But... the other day, I was presented with the opportunity to purchase the KHS Flite 900 (new) for around the same price as the CAAD. I know there isn't much publicity on this forum for KHS bikes, but any input that you guys have would be helpful. Thanks!

I was going to direct you to the CAAD9 vs Trek 2.1 thread to show you that CAAD9 is the answer but if you can really get that KHS for $1,500 it's probably the way to go. The KHS website doesn't mention what series of Ultegra comes on the bike though which makes a pretty big difference for me.

Wait... I did some sleuthing and found the picture for the KHS, looks like Ultegra SL.

The KHS definetly has better components alll around plus its a full carbon bike(If u like that sort of thing). If the pricing is about the same the KHS seems like the better deal.

But the biggest question is which one rode better to you?
