Is that a nose fairing?
|
Intense, but you'd probably get better leverage on the handlebars in a climb

Kinda reminds me of that dope dealer in Salton Sea.

I guess you could argue it's structural.... :) |

Just to make sure everyone noticed, the post was for the guy getting aero with his hands on the fork, not the nose guy.

The perspective makes it look like they're coming into a climb. Maybe its just a photographer low to the ground and the light angles

The foundation in the background tells me that they just finished a descent. I agree that the photographer's angle makes it hard to tell if that means they're now on a flat or a climb, though. |

http://files.myopera.com/badmadcycli...rdeTimor09.jpg That's a new take on getting aero, and what the heck is the guy in the middle doing? This pic makes me wonder where in the crowd is Rod Serling. |
I was wondering about the middle dude too. Looks like he's fixin' to bump off his teammate.

Either that or dislocate his leg at the knee joint. I wince every time I see that down stroke. |
One of my friends used to do that when he tried to break away on his MTB, but only on pavement.

They look geeky, not as us elegant roadies.:D

Could it be he's working the lock out on his forks?
