Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

botto, Darwin, a kid in a stroller, a Pcad response... yep, all essential elements are here for a 41 thread.

have you even read Darwin?

"fittest" has nothing to do with athleticism. It is purely about a species' ability to "fit" into a changing environment.

Exactly. In terms of evolution, fitness=ability to survive and reproduce. Not related to running or cycling.

I live next to a city park with four, yes 4, running tracks, trails, paths, & still have to dodge the stupid lemmings in the am on my ride to work who insist on running the road around the park!

It brings out the "how'd you like it if I **** in your ashtray" attitude from time to time...... But it's best to live & let live.

Sounds like you didn't read anything about this theory past the word "fittest" in the title.

Point well taken, but as long as I'm still outside the tank, it makes for loads of entertainment.

obviously he is a self absorbed, self important, idiot. Darwin will eventually take effect. unfortunately he will take someone with him.

Edit: just for the record I am speaking of the jogger not botto.
Sure, I'll admit that I'm easily amused, but the fact that you felt the need to clarify who you were talking about was hilarious.

Apparently, people on here would rather keep stupid people and just shoot dogs owned by stupid people.

If you don't like people running with giant strollers while oblivious to their surroundings, never ride in New York City parks.

Wow, you guys have serious problems with the "play on words for humor" concept.

No offence , but I dont think we should let someone named Grumpy judge content for humor. Again, no offence.

Why waste a bullet? He will eventually take care of it himself, and if we are lucky someone will get it in video so we can watch it on utube.

Next time you see such a sight...call 911 ASAP. I'd LOVE to see that scene in a future episode of COPS!

Its funny to mulit sporters. Maybe you don't find it funny because it hits too close to home?

About 6 weeks ago I was riding on a fairly popular cycling route (Beach Dr in DC...parts are closed to cars, but most is open). On an open road section, a guy was riding with his 3 kids on the LEFT side of the road, against traffic. I had to slam on the brakes and came to a complete stop about 5 feet away from hitting one of his kids. This section of road even has an MUP that parallels it, so I'm not sure what the hell he was thinking.

I yelled at him for a second, then went on my way. Probably should have turned around and let him know why I was calling him an idiot, because I'm not sure he understood what he was doing wrong.
