About to pick up my second degree in "makin' sense with words." It's also how I pay the bills. I can't switch it off. I also spent a lot of time watching Ygduf fight with people on a different board about ten years ago, so this was nostalgic fun for me.

Also, the woman in the "two hipsters" tattoo would have to have at least an 18" neck to achieve that pose. Look at the image again, you'll see.
There, now the owner will be thinking of that the rest of her life whenever she showers.
The Sheldon tattoo is hideous. Possibly well-intentioned, but ugly nonetheless.

The 'Hug Life' tattoo is indeed real - it's from a 'goon' on the SomethingAwful forums about 2-years ago and it causes a pretty hilarious 50/50 split on that board of people who love it and hate it.
Also, on a slightly tangential note: I would like to propose that a group of hipsters be called a fixie.
i.e., "Did you see that fixie of hipsters that spilled out onto the street after the bar closed for the night?"

Tattoos' are not attractive & I have one - see left! So that makes me pretty stupid, or once was stupid.
I'm keeping it though. It may one day show my boys the foolish error of their fathers ways, & not make it their error. That's the hope at least.

These threads always give me a good lol. OP - if you're serious I'd suggest finding a rerspectable artist that is also a cyclist. Let the artist have a lot of input into the tattoo. The more freedom I give an artist the happier I am with the work.
You may wlso want to look at some of the art by Mucha. He did a serious of cycling advertisements in the early 20th century that i think would make great tattoos.

i'd have to say that framebuilding would be another.
and being an engineer (in the hvac industry), after reviewing, being involved in and taking a crap on countless mechanical designs... there comes a point when you see one and it's just jaw dropping in its' simplicity and functionality.
the first time i saw one like this, i lusted to work with whomever designed it.

]there are many many many artforms that don't involve painting a flat surface, architecture being one of them, and one of the few to intricately mesh science and art.
i'd have to say that framebuilding would be another.

OT, but given the number of folks who disapprove of tatts, I figured I'd throw this in the mix ; )

Tattoos of any kind stopped being cool when every soccer mom and accountant went out and got one. Probably around the same time Harleys became so uncool, after every fat, middle aged guy with a dew rag and a gray gotee bought one. Once you start seeing TV shows about something cool, that's nature's way of telling the clueful that it's really no longer cool.
