Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Being an idiot is a de facto requirement for spending much time here. Lest my credentials in this department be in question.....

The facts:
  1. It was slow at work
  2. I decided to play hooky
  3. Partly sunny in the upper 50's with light wind (i.e. some of the best riding weather of the year)
  4. I needed to ride

But I didn't feel like dealing with the crap ride the Bonty Hardcases on my commuter give me on chipseal and I was too lazy to mount a set of decent racing tires on that bike or swap out the trainer tire from my racing bike.

So I rode the trainer in the garage instead. Truth be told, I enjoyed it plenty.
