Colnago Owners: Lets see your Colnago

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My Nags

1983 Colnago Super frankenbike from my "Campy Free Zone" era. Campy hubs though.

This is an early Colnago Technos frankenbike without the "man in the boat" artwork on the top tube, 1988?

Another "Campy Free Zone" bike with a Campy headset and seatpost. Very thin wall Gilco style shaped top and down tubes.

"The horror... the horror..." Shimano Deore MTB hubs, derailleurs and cranks with Biopace triple chainrings. It's a heck of a climber!

Prototype Bontrager Speed Limit brakes bring on retinal detachment when locked up!

1987 Colnago MTB. Shimano Deore XT gruppo. Colnago/Gilco Master Ibex tubes. Handles like a road bike, not a MTB. Real twitchy!

I just got mine built up last week. I've been loving it so far. Just got back from a 60 mile ride this morning. 16 lbs with my training wheels. It might be pushing 15 with my race wheels and super record cassette.

Really nice bikes! Never owned a Colnago, but my dream bike was always a Master Light.

Need to make an effort to get some good shots, but this is the best I currently have.

Here is my '77 Colnago Super. It has Campy everything except for the Cinelli stem and bars. Oh, and the Fiamme Red Label tubular rims. My friend built and raced the bike in the Michigan Jr Mens circuit in '78, setting a state record. From then on the bike sat. I pried it from him last summer.
