Colnago Identification

Can anyone help me identify the year/model of this Colnago and tell me a bit about it? I bought it from a friend a few months back and want to find out something about the frame and components. It has a Campy Chorus 8-speed group. Paint is dark purple with chrome front lugs and chrome rear triangle, and chrome straight blade fork. Rear brake cable runs through the top tube. No serial number visible on bottom bracket, just COLNAGO

Thanks!!!:)

I cannot help you with the year/model but I can tell you that it is missing a saddle. :)

Look for the serial number on the rear drop outs.

It's a Superissimo. '90s bike.

It never ceases to astound me that people don't contact the manufacturer but instead ask random strangers on the web for info. I sent an email to Colnago (in English, even though I could've written in Italian), and got a very helpful correspondence going, which in a couple of rounds got my used Colnago identified. Email info@colnago.com, attaching a photo of your bike. If you have the serial number, include it. If not, they'll be able to direct you to where to look for it. Once they have the serial number, they can tell you the model, year of manufacture, and probably even the frame size.

Thanks people. Dorkypants, glad I was able to astound you!
