What is this set of wheels worth?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What is this set of wheels worth?

I have a friend who is a sponsored rider that wants to get rid of his Zipp 404's from 2009. These are the team issue that have the old style hubs. They are in great shape and I test rode them today and like them alot.

What are these things worth?

He wants $1200 for them.

Should I do it?

Seems like a good deal since the '10 404's go for $2200

sounds like a good deal to me. Who cares about the hubs? Do they still spin forever?
