Mail - Good News/Bad News

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Mail - Good News/Bad News

I just came in from getting the mail.

Good news: not one but two cycling mags came: Bicycling and Road Bike Action.

Bad news: They both suck. Actually just Bicycling sucks, RBA is so-so.

BF is better than both combined.

Good news: Bicycling came again.

Bad news: I have no idea why they keep sending it to me, or when I actually ordered it in the first place.

I must be turning into a retrogrouch, because I seem to remember the Bicycling Magazine of the mid-1980's as being actually useful.

Not so much anymore.

I got some good stuff in the mail today... I ordered some Tektro R530, but they sent me Cane Creek SCR-3 instead. The seller sells those for $11 more than the Tektro brakes.

If you ordered through Active.com it will take forever to actually cancel. You will have to call the distribution company and spend about an hour on the phone.

Auto-renew is evil.

The mail may not bring any good news, but it does bring some great presents (from me). I should have about twenty packages coming in the next week or so.
