Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That stand is made by Minoura, I bought if off the net but don't recall who from. They are not hard to find though. Doesn't work on a fat tired 29er, but fits everything else I have.

Since you can spot a GP bike, you probably know who they are! Black ink art from many years ago.

Haha, Mcdonalds. No, Maybe a combination bar tape. Black with white, or White with red. I think Fizik makes some called Dual Tape.

ahh very nice. well the bottom is definitely mick doohan or Kevin Schwantz (probably schwantz).
the top one, im gonna go out on a limb because i cant really tell, and say its doohan just because doohan is known for his #3 (Rothmans Honda)
also because schwantz and doohan would make some crazy racing back in the day.
really nice pieces though! am i right?

You asked, so here it is... ugly, kill it with fire. Nice bike otherwise, cool garage as well.

every bike should have some yellow in the ensemble. i applaud the immaginative use of bar tape to correct the oversight of not having yellow in the paint scheme.

t's a wear item that gets a lot of grime and sweat, if you like it you know what to buy next time, if not you get to choose another color next time

Nice neat tape job, which goes a long way in the appearance department, I think.

Not sure the yellow works? try some black and white striped[two colours] I have it on my bike and it looks cool. Or try yellow tires as well?

Fauxto does not approve, Fauxto suggests white or red for a good clean look. Or sky blue with digital blue Michellins if you want to have fun.

Well when you see this Fauxto character, ask him WTF is up with the pink handlebar tape...

I like the yellow. It looks good the way it is.

I personally like matching color elsewhere on the bike, primarily in the tires. Take a look at what I done here.

I also have a smidgen of yellow on my saddle bag, and a yellow water bottle as you can see.

But that's just me.

Do as I say, not as I do, plus my tape matches my bottles which I got because they were 10 for $20 on Bonktown. I will soon be rocking the slime green handlebar tape to match my new kit as well as now trademark tires.

You know, since most road bikers look like parrots that got thrown in a blender I'd have to say that your bar tape looks pretty restrained. IT's bright, doesn't really "go" with the white/red bike but it's not bad either.

Just wear a chicken suit while you're riding, nobody will notice the tape.

The bar tape is fine. Nobody really cares. Asking about it after the fact is the lame part.
