I'm sticking with it.

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm sticking with it.

I'm sticking with it.

I'm the chronic hobbiest. I get bored of things quickly and will find a hobby to take part in for a while, sometimes a month, sometimes a year. My average is very near 6 months for most hobbies.

I bought my Specialized Allez last summer and road it pretty much all summer long. When it started to get cold I hung it up along with my gear and would just look at it longingly everytime I opened my garage. It has finally started to warm up here and I started cycling again... I'm absolutely happy to say I'm sticking with it. Too much fun to give up on a whim-hobby.

Now I've just gotta start training for real so I can ride for longer and have more fun. Time to do some research...

You change hobbies because you're human.

I subsidize all my expensive hobbies (cycling/video games/electronics/audio) with origami. Gimme an old newspaper and I'll be happy.

My thing is that I don't get tired of them...

I'm on the same boat err bike. I usually switch hobbies ever 2-3 years. I just hit the 1 year mark and i'm picking up steam though. This might be the one!

Yeah I have quite a few hobbies that I have stuck to. Some of them could be considered addictions. =P

You live in WA... you can ride year round if you want. Just takes the right mix of clothing to get the job done. You'd already be doing those longer rides if you hadn't hung it in the garage all winter.

That being said.. good job for finding something you like. Maybe next fall/winter you will continue to ride...... Sucks losing all that hard work you put in.
