Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Aero bars

I saw a set of nice aeor bars in a LBS in Vancouver for $125. I forget the brand, but new ones in box are running significantly higher. They bolt onto the top of handlebars and indlude padded armrests. They can also accommodate shifters.

Anyone care to guess if that's a good price? How hard would it be to move my frame-mounted 105 shifters to it?

there is actually a lot of different brands of aero bars. the one i have on my bike is made by Syntace C2 aerobar. I got mine for $108 shipped brand new. other brands are profile design (most people choose air stryke.. which seems to be pretty good). u better go back and check it out again.
