Gray vs Green Kinetic Road Machine trainer

Hi All:

Are there any significant differences between the current (green) Kinetic Road Machine and the older gray one?

I've got a sweet deal lined up on a brand new gray one and was wondering if there is anything about the the gray one that should make me avoid it.

Thanks,
Bob

No difference, only the color.

I agree
I called Kurt last year when I wanted to buy a Gray close out unit from REI and they confirmed no difference.
I really like mine.

Almost true.

I own both, and there is one other difference between them. The base rail on the back of the trainer is welded BEHIND the "support 'U' " portion of the frame instead of being welded to the FRONT of it. The result is that without a bike attached, the green trainer is less likely to fall over backwards from the weight of the resistance unit. The grey one WILL fall backward if on carpet or on even a very slight angle. This is at most a minor inconvenience. That's the ONLY difference other than the color. Resistance units and adjustment/knobs/bolts/etc....are all identical otherwise.
